ICELAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Thanks for visiting my website, my name’s Will and I’m hoping very much that you’re on the hunt for an Iceland Wedding Photographer! I am based over in the UK, however have now travelled to Iceland many times to photograph some beautiful weddings, elopements, proposals, and engagement shoots.
Ever since my first visit over 15 years ago, I have been captivated by Iceland. There is a sense of adventure and vastness that I’ve never found anywhere else. The huge vistas as far as the eye can see make for some of the most breathtaking settings for pictures. It’s an addictive place to spend time exploring.
One of my main loves of photography is capturing people in a relaxed informal way, whilst taking the time to make the most of the scenery, weather conditions, and lighting. Iceland lends itself to this way of working, having some of the most amazing settings in the world to work with. I aim to make the shoot feel more like going on a big road trip with a friend! Rather than a formal posed photoshoot.
You can never predict the weather in Iceland, with storms often blowing in from the Atlantic. I genuinely think this actually benefits a photoshoot in Iceland though. Even rain looks amazing, and the mist and clouds give such a great sense of depth to the landscape. Running through the rain to get to the best locations creates some wonderful moments for your gallery too, and have ended up being some of my favourite pictures ever taken in Iceland.

“Will was outstanding in every way imaginable. I booked him for a surprise Proposal in Iceland and for a follow on engagement shoot the same day…
…He had excellent locations scoped out and knew just what to do to get us the perfect pictures. 10 out of 10. You need to book him now!”
Iceland Adventure
photoshoots
I’ve been lucky enough to visit Iceland at all times of the year. From capturing a wedding at Skógafoss in the depths of winter in -10C temperatures, to photographing through the midnight sun, finally finishing up the shoot and getting back to Reykjavik at past 3am. It is always an incredible adventure, and no matter what the weather ends up like you can be guaranteed a really beautiful gallery of images, telling the story of your time exploring such an amazing country.
With even a Half Day Shoot we would be able to visit the Black Sand Beaches near Vik (Reynisfjara), the cliffs near the Dyrhólaey lighthouse, the glacier at Sólheimajökull, and the waterfalls of Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, along with some other breathtaking places along the route, as we pass by the huge cliffs near Eyjafjallajökull.

“Will was awesome. We coordinated with him via Instagram for our session. Our session was unique as we were coming from the United States and he was coming from the United Kingdom with both of us meeting up in Iceland.
We met promptly on the day of our session and Will took it from there. He drove us from spot to spot all over Iceland. He was extremely professional, very prepared and knew exactly where to be at what time for the best lighting.
I can not say enough good things about Will and our experience. He took some photos that we will cherish forever. We highly highly recommend Will.”
Norse Pagan (ASATRU) wedding photography
I also have experience photographing traditional Norse Pagan weddings, having had the pleasure of capturing Katie + Kyle’s ceremony in the woods near Reykjavik.
